One very lucky Northern Beaches mum and her family had the chance to experience it for themselves, and here’s what she had to say about their special getaway!
Mum’s Review
Firstly, I was absolutely thrilled to have won this! Secondly, our family absolutely deserved this special treat!
We kicked off our getaway with a full day at the Australian Reptile Park, which was such a fun way to start our little holiday. After a busy day exploring, we didn’t arrive at the resort until later that afternoon. The ladies at reception were so helpful and kind, making us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived.
When we finally found our accommodation, well, we certainly weren’t expecting a beachfront villa with completely unobstructed ocean views!!!! What an incredible surprise! It was such a lovely feeling to walk in and see the beautiful ocean right in front of us. The rooms were very comfortable, and I especially loved the peacefulness of the place. It was exactly the kind of relaxing escape we needed.
My youngest son is an early riser, so we were lucky enough to catch every morning’s sunrise! There was something so lovely about starting the day with those beautiful ocean views. We ventured out locally to find places to eat and explore the surrounding area, and the following day we headed off to Amazement Farm, where we had a wonderful time together. After a day of adventures, it was lovely to return to the resort, where the boys made the most of the swimming pool and had plenty of fun.
Sadly, all good things must come to an end, and it was time to check out the following morning. We were genuinely disappointed to leave, as I’m sure we would have loved to stay for a few more days! On our way home, we stopped off at Erina Fair shopping centre before heading back to reality.
It was honestly the most relaxing and wonderful getaway experience for our family. We made some beautiful memories, enjoyed some much-needed quality time together and came home feeling refreshed. In fact, our youngest son asked when we would be going back shortly after we’d arrived home! I think that’s a pretty good indication of just how much he loved it!
Clearly, we don’t travel much these days, but I’m so thankful and appreciative of this opportunity, thanks to Blue Lagoon Beach Resort! Keep doing what you’re doing! Mums like me do miss out on a lot of the fun stuff without even realising it, and opportunities like this remind us just how special it is to get away, spend time together and experience something a little different.
