Northern Beaches Youth Theatre

With the exciting success of Northern Beaches Youth Theatre’s fourth show, Anne Of Green Gables, founders (and Northern Beaches Mums) Victoria Lockhart and Chantal Harrison have decided to maintain their younger cast and further their inclusivity mission by providing the first non-audition show with a youth-devised “Christmas Spectacular”. This is the first opportunity youth of ages 12-17 have of joining NBYT without an audition. This play-building project will be a chance for youth of any level and experience level to lean into or discover many different strengths in relation to theatre-making with a lot of fun along the way. The Christmas Spectacular will open its December shows.

Sign straight up (Creative Kids accepted) via bit.ly/NBYTXMAS

They will also be producing Nathaniel Moncrieff’s April Aardvark which explores what could happen when the anonymity of cyber-bullying is jeopardised by the secret bully account coming to life in the form of macaroni and cheese lovin’ April Aardvark. This is an entertaining play that touches on many youth issues and auditions will take place on Zoom on Friday, 21st July. Audition slots available via bit.ly/NBYTAprilAardvark

You can audition for April Aardvark and join the Christmas Spectacular if unsuccessfully cast this time around. You can also enrol in the Christmas Spectacular using Creative Kids and switch to April Aardvark if successful in auditioning.
