My new favourite gluten-free treat
If you’re gluten free, you need to know about this. And honestly… even if you’re not, you’re going to want to try it!
I have just tried the limited-edition Tim Tam Gluten-Free Choux Pastry from Wholegreen Bakery, and I can honestly say it is one of the yummiest things I have ever eaten in my life.
Think everything you love about a Tim Tam, but transformed into a decadent, indulgent choux pastry. It has that gorgeous chocolatey, rich Tim Tam flavour, wrapped up in a light, delicate pastry that feels much more like something you’d find in a beautiful French patisserie than a gluten-free bakery.
And THIS is what got me…
Being gluten free, I’ve had plenty of gluten-free cakes, biscuits and pastries over the years. Some are good. Some are really good. But every now and then you have something that makes you completely forget it’s gluten free.
This was one of those things.
It was rich, decadent and incredibly satisfying, but at the same time the choux pastry gives it that light, airy texture that makes you want to keep eating it. It genuinely felt like a proper indulgent treat — not a gluten-free version of one.
And I think that’s why I loved it so much. It didn’t feel like I was missing out.
Wholegreen Bakery has created this as a limited-edition take on one of Australia’s most iconic chocolate treats, and they have absolutely nailed the brief. Their entire bakery is gluten free, so for those of us who have to avoid gluten, there’s something particularly exciting about being able to walk into a bakery and know you can actually eat what you see.
And there’s a very small window to get your hands on it…
Showcased at the Coeliac Australia Gluten Free Expo in Sydney Saturday 15th & Sunday 16th August.
Then available at Wholegreen Bakery stores from Monday 17th August until Sunday 23rd August.
So if you’re gluten free, RUN, don’t walk.
I genuinely cannot recommend this enough. It is one of those rare gluten-free treats where you take a bite and immediately think:
“OMG… I can’t believe this is gluten free.”
Wholegreen, you’ve absolutely outdone yourselves with this one.
