by Mum of a 9-year-old
As soon as we started reading Bah Humbug!, my four-year-old was pointing at the pages, giggling and asking, “What’s that grumpy bug doing now?” We ended up reading it twice in one sitting because she wanted to go back and spot all the funny details she’d missed the first time.
Andy Geppert has created a wonderfully silly Christmas story about a cranky little bug determined to spoil everyone’s festive fun. The bright illustrations, playful humour and mischievous character kept my daughter entertained from start to finish, with plenty of laughs along the way.
What I loved most was how it captured the excitement and chaos of Christmas through a child’s eyes. It’s the kind of book that sparks conversation, laughter and requests for “just one more read.”
A fun, festive read-aloud that’s perfect for preschoolers and a lovely addition to your Christmas book collection.
